The Big Picture has really become one of my favorite blogs recently. I initially thought it was just a collection of photos, but then I realized that they were informative, powerful, or simply great photos, or a combination of the three. Each photo truly tells a story.

So much happens around the world that we have no idea about. People like me almost never watch or read the news, which is sad. The Big Picture has done their best to recap 2008 through 120 photos. It’s not the story of 2008, it’s certainly not all stories, but as a collection it does show a good portion of what life has been like over the past 12 months.
